Hi families!

 I have BIG three little birds news!

We are thrilled to announce that we have found a new nest in Bergen Lafayette. We are super sad to leave our nest on the West Side but a large rent increase and lack of landlord maintenance  to our old building forced us to look for a space that would better serve our families. We will be flying over to our new nest at 130 Monitor Street after the school year ends. We will open there with summer camp AND drum roll please    .... our new daycare rooms for little birds 3 months - 2.5 years! We will continue to have PreK 2.5-Kindergarten during the school year and 2.5 years -- 6th grade for our crazy fun Camp Chiltown. 

Our new location will simply be just that - a brand new, beautiful location and neighborhood. All of our teachers, creative arts teachers, summer camp counselors, programs. magical playrooms and classrooms, outdoor time, creative philosophy and fun are going with us! I will still be at the door everyday to greet everyone with great music. 

Here is a rendering of the new building. We will occupy the first floor on the right hand side of the building. We are the only commercial space in the building.

Highlights of our new space: 

  • 6 LARGE classrooms with 6 bathrooms - I can't wait to design these magical playspaces. We have 5500 square feet on the first floor of the building. 

  • 2 blocks from Liberty State Park

  • Walking distance to Liberty Science Center

  • Brand new beautiful library with a great kids room across the street

  • One block away from Dr. Lena Edwards Park/Playground

  • Walking distance to Lafayette Aquatic Center

  • One block away from the Liberty State Park Light Rail Station

FAQ

  • Class sizes will be between 10-15 children.

  • Hours will remain the same for school and camp with early care and aftercare.

  • Enrichment classes of movement and music for school/daycare and summer camp will continue.

  • Afterschool programs will remain the same with art, breaking, ballet, skateboarding, and new ones! And of course PJ Parties!

  • Outdoor playtime remains the same with more options at the local playground as well as Liberty State Park.

  • Parents will be able to book a bus pickup/drop off from Lincoln Park to our new location for summer camp and school. You can also book an LCCS pickup for afterschool programs so we can still hang out together.

 Registrations are OPEN for summer camp, school, and day care!

Being on the West Side has been an amazing experience for all of us. Our three little birds community blossomed there. It has brought me such joy to be a part of your family there and to watch your little birds grow into the amazing children they are now. I will cherish my memories in that building, in the climbing trees and forest in Lincoln Park and dancing by the fountain. I look forward to continuing to be a part of your lives in our new neighborhood of Bergen Lafayette and making new memories there. Hats off to the West Side and cheers to Bergen Lafayette.
