Breaking is the original Hip Hop dance! It is an art form that celebrates individuality. Kids develop their own style through dance. They build confidence, strength and get a fun workout. Your child will learn the 4 components of breakdance–toprocking, footwork, power moves and freezes.
Breaking is an athletic dance form which uses a great deal of floor work. Your child will learn more advanced moves and will also have the opportunity to show off their skills in local competitions with their teacher Bgirl Krazy K and the Chilltown Breakers Crew. Kids will have conditioning and basics training as well as learn more advanced techniques and practice individual combos and team routines. Kids will also progress through different dance levels and will be recognized in a ceremony where they will receive the color hat of their new dance level.

Our art classes will feature an exciting weekly theme or topic, to stimulate your child's imagination and get the ideas flowing. This course includes everything a beginner needs to know about how to use the seven elements of art (line, shape, color, form, value, texture, and space) to develop their skills in drawing and painting. They learn how to sketch out their subject as they grasp the use of pencils, markers, and pastels. We demo color-mixing, brush applications and professional techniques + look at a variety of painting styles. For subject matter they will work with still-life objects, pictures, and their imaginations to motivate compositions. In this course, children will develop confidence and be motivated to create their own fully realized drawings and paintings not only in art class but at school and at home.
